We took a look at That Thing’s visual identity development for Arrival the zero-emissions transport of the future.

Over the past 10 years, commerce or more specifically e-commerce and retail have evolved significantly.

We have seen more fast-moving consumer goods businesses, a rapid move to online sales and widespread globalisation.

This increases the number of deliveries, fuel emissions and demand for transport.

Where we haven't seen such a rapid technology change, is in the vans and trucks that make these deliveries.

This fuel-guzzling, noise polluting and congestion inducing outdated technology needs updating - enter Arrival.

Arrival's modern-looking electric fleet sets out to rectify this situation.

That said, they needed a brand identity to match this sleek design. For this, they called on That Thing to develop their logo and wordmark into a brand that was fit for launch.

That Thing is a brand agency that brings ideas to life verbally and visually.

That Thing said,

"As they started to move beyond the prototype and into production, Arrival needed to make sure every bit of their brand was ready to help their business scale – from the factory floor to the vehicle interiors."

"We developed a tone of voice that helped Arrival bring humanity to their technology."

Which was the thinking behind the mantra, “Made by robots. Designed for people.”

This meets the vision of the Founder and CEO of Arrival, Denis Sverdlov “We believe that all vehicles will soon be electric because it is better for people, the planet and business"

Follow Arrivals progress on Instagram, because as we all know, “It’s Time For Radical Impact.”
