The Brief.

Oolumi is a direct-to-consumer light rental company, aiming to disrupt the equipment rental market with high-end equipment at affordable prices. Oolumi asked us to build a brand identity that immediately grasps the customer’s attention, looks professional and explains with clarity what services are provided across social media, website and print media. 

The Design.

Central to Oolumi’s brand guidelines were the need to grab the attention of the customer and stand out in a sea of stagnant, often outdated equipment rental websites. 

The brand identity has a clean professional look while drawing the eye of the customer with the bold colour palette, a modern logo and font design. Interspersed with playful graphic elements and digital assets, Oolumi’s brand identity puts them at the cutting edge of a competitive market.

We created two playful graphic narratives, Oolumi circular and repeat logo. These were incorporated across digital and print assets to compliment the typography, logo and colour system.

 
 
 

As an extension of the brand, we created a simple animation to highlight the logo’s form. The identity lends itself to motion and could be developed further in the future.

 
 

Our Process

We work through a three-phase methodology when producing a brand identity. We start with the brand fundamentals including logo, colour palette, fonts and graphic elements. We then tailor our approach to best suit our client's needs and the brand strategy, this could incorporate UX/UI, illustrations, motion, social content, and print media.
